Rev. Simon Lucas provided expertise, masterful and unmatceable details on the Dodson & Dotson families of Virginia.
This volume by Rev. Ege contains the History and Genealogy,
chronologically arranged, beginning with the Parent family
of the Dodson Jersey colonists, of Knaresborough, Yorkshire,
England.
Rev. Ege focuses on the Pennsylvania family lines, with details on New Jersey, North Carolina and Virginia. He details siblings John, Thomas and Mary.
John went to Pennsylvania and established his line.
Thomas went to Talbot County, Maryland and his descendants migrated to Virginia and North Carolina.
His book also includes some details on two additional Maryland Dodson lines, and another line which started in Kentucky and migrated west to
Tennessee, Ohio, Indiana and Missouri.
