Vintage Austin Cox Alcoa Chess Set - Beautiful MCM Chessmen w/ Case and Board!

Rare 1962 Austin Enterprises Mid Century Modern Chess Set with Original Blue Felt board!
Classic Mid-Century modern design. Chess set, walnut display case and board from Austin Enterprises. Chess pieces are in excellent condition with only minor scuffs here and there. None are noteworthy. The set is quite large. The king stands 4.85" tall.
The board is in good shape. Very beautiful to play and display but there is a stain (see pictures) on one corner. In my opinion, it's not as bad as the pictures make it look. It may be cleanable (I have left it as-is). Other than that the board is quite nice. I see one nick in the aluminum border.
The display case is beautiful. The blue acrylic is in great condition. The wood box itself
looks
great and the wood is in good condition, but the back has separated a little bit on one corner (see pictures). Surprisingly it's not loose or anything, and the display case is very solid structurally.
Overall, this is a great piece and it would make a fantastic gift for the chess lover in your life.
Finding a complete set in this shape is hard!

**Update: Upon further inspection I think the display case was repaired by previous owner (explaining the separated, but solid back). The part that hold the pieces seems to have been rejiggered a little bit, but they did quite a good job and the pieces all display well-- I've owned this for a year and only just noticed now. Lowering the price to account for this.
